We had a great day yesterday; so great we didn't take a single picture! Instead, I've decided to re-post a couple of my favourites. Thanks for such an amazing day. I love my little family!

The piece de resistance was getting chased by a peacock. These things are all over the park and while absolutely beautiful, are really scary when they come at you! Of course, Matthew barely even noticed, as he was busy running around trying to figure out how to ditch his parents in favour of a linx or an otter!
At the park enjoying a quick drink before checking out the ducks (or gucks as the case may be).
Enjoying a healthy snack in the kitchen (this face was for photo purposes only...I don't think it's physically possible to actually be this happy!)
Well, Matthew's first egg hunts were a success. Our neighbourhood had a hunt that was a little chilly and exactly at Matthew's nap time, but it was still pretty good. The neighbourhood Easter bunny was good enough to "hide" Matthew's eggs in pretty obvious spots. When his little hands got too cold, he went inside and Mommy finished the hunt. Those other kids didn't know what hit them.

With Gwen Stefani!! I guess he's got good taste, but isn't is a little early for me to be worried about my kid's first crush? As soon as the "Sweet Escape" video comes on, Matthew stops what he is doing and is glued to the TV. Not even Indy can tear his eyes from this woman (or maybe it's her dancers!)"Hey, check out my outie. You wanna be MY favourite girl?"
Matthew's 18 months old! I can no longer get away with telling his age in months. That's right: now I have to tell people he's ALMOST TWO!!! On top of that, he moved up to the Jr. Toddlers in Daycare. Scheduled naps, no soothers, unacceptable behaviour is no longer joked about, it's reprimanded. I guess I knew the day would come when shoving other kids was no longer about cause and effect, but I didn't think it would come so soon.
And this one, from 18 months ago:

Can somebody slow down time for just a little while?
